PETER VARGA

Peter Varga is a fine artist and specialized craftsman, taking inspiration from everyday objects / happenings and translating them into his own language: plaster. The common goal of his work is to learn the material and its limitations, creating his own tools and methods for pushing the material to new applications. His works utilize the layering of various fine plasters and shapes often based on feelings, emotions, and stories. He contrasts gloss with matte, texture with smoothness, and organic with geometric to create subtle textural shifts and unique experiences that are completely dependent on light and point of view.
